Professional Experience

Mr. Okano is a Professional Structural Engineer with over twenty years of professional experience, including twenty years of experience in the design and analysis of new high-tech and manufacturing buildings, seismic retrofit of existing industrial buildings, and tenant improvements for existing facilities, including twenty. This includes the structural design of mechanical, electrical and piping modular buildings to support new data centers.

Balancing the demands of a dependable structural design with the needs of the client, Mr. Okano believes that communication among the design team is the key to success. This process is facilitated when each team member understands the client’s requirements and expectations for the project, and the team works together to achieve them.

Mr. Okano brings his variety and depth of experience to each project, guiding the design team to select the optimal structural system. His understanding of how changes made by other design team members will affect the chosen structural system allows him to exercise leadership in structural design for each project.
