Peoples Associates performed a seismic evaluation and retrofit for a voluntary seismic upgrade of a commercial office building. The building is a two-story concrete tilt-up structure containing approximately 82,000 square feet of leased office space.

The goal of this seismic upgrade was to improve the seismic performance of the building in order to comply with the minimum requirements of the 1997 Edition of the Uniform Building Code (UBC). The necessary seismic improvements included the addition and strengthening of panel anchors at the roof, the strengthening of collectors and ties, and the strengthening/renailing of the plywood roof diaphragm.
