The Warren Guesthouse is a 1,350 square foot split level, single story residence with a small storage loft located in Woodside, California. The Guesthouse is constructed of a wood-framed roof, plywood shearwalls and a wood-framed floor with a pier/grade beam foundation system. The structure utilizes round timber rafters and purlins, and round timber columns to support the roof. The use of round timber required special attention during the design process. In addition to providing the Structural Design, Peoples Associates also provided Civil Design services for this project.
