The Larson Residence Addition consisted of a 2,749 square foot addition to an existing 4,815 square foot house, though much of the existing construction was removed and replaced or otherwise remodeled.

Conventional wood framing was used throughout most of the addition with plywood diaphragms and shearwalls. Some steel framing however was necessary to accommodate extremely long spans and vaulted ceilings. Also, the entire existing house was raised and set on a new pier and grade beam foundation.
