Structural Design of Two-Story Health Clinic and Office Building
The Salinas Health Clinic and Regional Office is a split-level building enclosing approximately 6,000 square feet; 3,700 square feet in the upper level and 2,400 square feet in the lower level. The building is built on a sloping site so a portion of the first floor is a retaining wall. There are overhang eave façades along the front and back walls, a recessed entryway and a sloped tiled roof.
The building is constructed of perimeter reinforced concrete walls and interior steel columns over spread footings, a plywood floor over pre-manufactured truss joists and a panelized wood roof.
