Structural Design of New Box Culverts and Tie-In Structures

The Dublin Ranch G3 Box Culvert includes the design of a 4,350 foot long series of new concrete box culverts and tie-in structures.

Three different sizes of box culverts were used, including a 14'x9' single cell box, a 10'x9' double box, and a 12'x9' double box. While all three are based on Caltrans standards for these sizes, they were also checked/designed to resist the active earth pressures recommended by the project Geotechnical Engineer.
